‘God’s Will Is No Concern of This Congress’: NY Dem Jerry Nadler Rejects God During Debate Over Equality Act

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) received stark criticism following Thursday’s meeting over the Equality Act where Nadler proceeded to tell another congressman that “God’s will is no concern of this Congress.”

  1. Hi George :) To be fair Nadler did not actually say God’s will is of no concern…what he said is: “What any religious tradition describes as God’s will is no concern of this Congress.”
    That would also apply to Hindu or Buddhist tradition, or even liberal Christian tradition that does not interpret the Bible that way… Nadler seems to be reminding of the separation between church and state. xx
