Ross Wightman became the first man in Canada to receive compensation for being injured after receiving a COVID-19 vaccination. He was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a rare condition that affects the nervous system, just days after his first and only dose of the vaccine. The condition can cause paralysis, muscle weakness, and even death.
