Mr. Potato Head is a mister no more.
Hasbro, the company that makes the potato-shaped plastic toy, is giving the spud a gender-neutral new name, Potato Head, according to the Associated Press. The change will appear on boxes this year.
Hasbro said Mr. Potato Head, which has been around for about 70 years, needed a modern makeover, the AP reported. [ Source ]

Leave Mr. Potato head alone! Messing with our childhood toys is ludicrous. How far these companies will bow to these radical demands is alarming. Oy vey!!
And what about the Potato’s spouse? Why stop there?
I suppose they will want to cancel all of the Toy Story movies because the marriage of Mr and Mrs was insensitive to all other gender identities.
Why didn’t they just go all out and create an androgynous throuple of Potatos and be done with it? Complete with 33 different shades of tater.
I agree who is letting this get by .. people are fed up with messing around with genders. You are a boy or a girl, women or man there is nothing in between. Grow up and get over it. Please stop this craziness.
