What took place at the Capitol on January 6 was undoubtedly a politically motivated riot. As such, it should not be controversial to regard it as a dangerous episode. Any time force or violence is introduced into what ought to be the peaceful resolution of political conflicts, it should be lamented and condemned.
But none of that justifies lying about what happened that day, especially by the news media. Condemning that riot does not allow, let alone require, echoing false claims in order to render the event more menacing and serious than it actually was. There is no circumstance or motive that justifies the dissemination of false claims by journalists. The more consequential the event, the less justified, and more harmful, serial journalistic falsehoods are.
Yet this is exactly what has happened, and continues to happen, since that riot almost seven weeks ago. And anyone who tries to correct these falsehoods is instantly attacked with the cynical accusation that if you want only truthful reporting about what happened, then you’re trying to “minimize” what happened and are likely an apologist for if not a full-fledged supporter of the protesters themselves. … read the entire article by Glenn Greenwald

Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ″eco- refugees,′ ′ threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP.
He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.

Biden’s Secular Vision of Faith-Based Programs
President Trump and President Biden could not be more different when it comes to religion. Trump never gave the impression that he was a deeply religious man; Biden has. But Trump delivered on religious liberty, passing many key policies and appointing religion-friendly judges. Biden, on the other hand, is content to check his religion at the church door.
Biden’s decision to appoint Melissa Rogers to head the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships is telling. She will also serve as senior director for faith and public policy in the White House Domestic Policy Council. He could not have chosen a more seasoned secularist to steer these faith-based entities.
Rogers may be a Baptist, but it is her secular vision of faith-based programs that will direct her decision-making. This is not a matter of speculation. This is her second appointment as director of faith-based programs: Obama chose her to head this initiative in his second term. So we know what we are getting.
When Rogers worked in the Obama White House, her idea of reaching out to faith communities was to invite the Secular Coalition of America to the White House. - January 31, 2020: Based on a new study of COVID spread, Dr. Anthony Fauci states “asymptomatic transmission is occurring.”
- February 18, 2020: Largest study (at the time) concludes that elderly are most at risk from COVID.
- March 2, 2020: NPR reports that nursing homes are uniquely vulnerable to COVID.
- March 25, 2020: The New York Department of Health issues this mandate to all nursing homes in the state: “No resident shall be denied re-admission or admission to the NH solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19.” The order also prohibited nursing homes from requiring a COVID test from a previously hospitalized resident before admission. By this time, as outlined above, it was known that asymptomatic spread was occurring – and that the elderly were the most vulnerable to COVID.
- August 26, 2020: The Department of Justice requests “COVID-10 data from the governors of states that issued orders which may have resulted in the deaths of thousands of elderly nursing home residents.”
- October 27, 2020: DOJ Civil Division sends a letter to Michael G. Bass, Deputy General Counsel of the NY State Health Department, requesting “information regarding COVID-19 and privately operated nursing homes.”
- October 28, 2020: Reporting confirms that DOJ “ramps up inquiry into NY care home deaths”
- November 3(ish), 2020: Joe Biden is elected president.
- January 28, 2021: New York Attorney General Letitia James reveals an investigation’s findings that New York nursing home deaths “may be more than 50 percent higher” than Governor Cuomo’s administration claims.
- January 29, 2021: In response to questions on the NY AG’s report and the DOJ investigation on New York’s handling of COVID and its nursing homes, White House press secretary Jen Psaki states, “any investigation would be led by the Department of Justice.”

Have you ever wondered why the National Guard still patrols Washington D.C.? Apparently, in the impeachment trial today, one of the impeachment managers stated the reason the troops walk the streets of D.C. is because Trump did not state that the election was not stolen. Watch for yourself!
[Trump] does not say that one sentence that matters. He does not say the one sentence that would stop future political violence: ‘the election was not stolen’. He still has not said that sentence. That is why National Guard troops in full body armor still patrol outside.
So are the National Guard being used to force a concession? It sounds like it to me!
Hospital tells staff to use terms ‘chestfeeding’ and ‘human milk’

Terms like “chestfeeding” and “human milk” are being introduced at an NHS trust in a bid to boost inclusivity.
Staff have been asked to use gender-neutral language alongside – not instead of – traditional terms to ensure that all groups are represented.
Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (BSUH) is the first in the country to use what it calls the “additive use of gender-inclusive language”.
Some of the terms being adopted are:
– “Breast/chestfeeding”, in place of “breastfeeding”;
– “Human milk” or “breast/chestmilk” or “milk from the feeding mother or parent”, in place of “breastmilk”;
– “Maternal and parental” or “maternal/parental”, in place of “maternal”;

Reframing Mideast, Biden seems to signal new distance from allies Israel, Saudis
US President Joe Biden is quickly if subtly rebalancing US priorities in the Middle East, walking back his predecessor’s all-encompassing embrace of Saudi Arabia and Israel while seeking diplomacy with Iran.
Two weeks into his presidency, Biden on Thursday announced an end to US support for the Saudi military campaign in Yemen which he said has “created a humanitarian and strategic catastrophe.”
Equally noticed was what went unsaid in his first major speech on foreign policy. Biden did not mention Israel when saying he was revitalizing alliances with other leaders — a reflection of how he has not yet spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
